TAKE YOUR SHADES OFF

It is often that I find many of us young adults to be blinded by such a materialistic society. Yes it is true as individuals, we're supposed to create our own brands. However, our brands are not based upon or made up of what brands we wear. Before we even open our mouths to introduce ourselves, people have already made preconceived notions about who we are as a person based upon our attire. Some people are so shallow that they will not even speak to a person simply because their clothing isn't "name brand." How did we get this far gone? Your knowledge, character, personality, and attitude is what makes YOU. Not your brand of clothing. People remove the shades from your eyes, and get to know someone based on what's inside.

  1. I'm glad to see people publicize topics that are rarely discussed, in which really need to be exposed to open & guide the eyes of simple minded individuals. Closed conversations and discrete chats do not aid the sole purpose of altering the magnitude of negative mindsets based on perspective. It's great to see you as a young adult & friend of mine who promotes positivity, individuality, and academic excellence.

  3. So true! I love how you emphasize that your knowledge, character, personality, and attitude is what makes YOU. Great topic of discussion. This can really encourage people to take a look at themselves.

  4. The clothes do not make the person the person makes the clothes. If you have no class your fancy clothes are irrelevant.
